Faced with growing content volumes as a result of working with higher resolutions, BBC Studioworks sought to upgrade its storage to maintain workflow efficiency. In 2012, BBC Studioworks selected Perifery’s media-focused solution, Object Matrix, to provide reliable nearline and backup storage that would tightly integrate into Avid workflows.

A further infrastructure refresh in 2020, saw BBC Studioworks implement half a petabyte of Object Matrix storage technology along with Perifery’s Vision, Dropspot, MXFS, and Move2 applications, contributing to enhanced performance, resilience, and scalability for the future.
