As part of its digitization process and with a focus on preserving its valuable archive and
ensuring uninterrupted broadcasting, MTA International implemented Perifery’s media-
focused Object Matrix storage solution. Following the initial deployment of 120TB in 2012, MTA
upgraded with a further petabyte in 2014, adding disaster recovery and business continuity to
its preservation strategy.
In 2015, production at MTA’s Morden facility was halted due to a devasting fire. Fortunately, MTA
was able to continue operations at its Wimbledon site, thanks to Object Matrix. By automatically
replicating media assets and workflows across locations, the scalable and resilient platform
ensured that MTA could continue to access its content, even in the face of disaster.
